Most casino table games have their own rules and protocol. This is especially true of online casino blackjack. With blackjack, most of the protocol is for the benefit of the security cameras. Signals are used instead of verbiage so every signal is on the camera tapes in case of disputes. The casino security staff is monitoring the dealer as much as they are monitoring the customers.  Following the rules of protocol also makes the bingo game run more smoothly for all concerned.

When you have blackjack or go bust, turn your cards face-up immediately. The dealer will payoff the winners and clears the table area right away. Not following this rule results in bingo games delays which no one appreciates. When you place a bet, place your chips in neat stack in front of your position.

The dealer is not allowed to take money from a player’s hand. Players who want to buy chips should place the money on the table and wait for the dealer. He cannot make change so don’t argue if you received $100 in chips instead of $50 and change. When you want a hit, you don’t say so. You scratch the felt on the table in front of your position with the tip of the cards or you tap the table with your fingers to indicate that you want a hit.  When you want to stand, hold you hand facing the felt and wave it back and forth to indicate that you don’t want a card.
